My Speaking Schedule For 2019… And Possibly Two Workshops!

Speaking engagement for Gary Collins

Oh I know it has been a bit since my last post, but as most of you know I don’t have a regular blog post schedule – I only post when I have some important to share or say. There is nothing worse than forcing it, so I just do it when it needs to be done 🙂 I guess that is good and bad, as some of you may like regularly scheduled blog updates in you inbox, if you have an opinion either way just reply to this email and let me know.

With that being said, it has been a whirlwind of a month I attended my first ever writers conference, which was a blast, and had a lot of fun meeting a variety of different writers. The conference I attended is called the 20booksto50k conference in Las Vegas, I believe it is the largest indie writers (self published authors) conference in the U.S. I know some of you have emailed me in the past about being interested in becoming an author. For those just starting out I recommend taking a writing/author marketing course and attending a writers conference, as I think that is the best way to learn and see what this type of business is all about. Yep, I just used that dirty word in the artistic and creative communities “business.” If you plan to be a writer and make a living doing it you better treat it as a business or you will be one of the millions of want-to-be authors laying in the dust bin. Take it from me, once I treated the writing side of my business… well as its own independent business, things drastically changed for the better.

In addition, I’m put the finishing touches on my next book, which is the follow up to Going Off The Grid, called Living Off The Grid. I’m also in the finishing stages of a very in-depth workbook (still working on the title) that will come out shortly after Living Off The Grid. This workbook will go together with both of the above books, so it is the perfect package for those serious about living a life off the grid or at the very least in a more remote area. Living Off The Grid is scheduled for release the first of January 2019, and the workbook should be ready with thirty days of that release.

There is a lot happening in 2019 so definitely stay tuned. If you haven’t subscribed to my newsletter make sure to sign up here for my updates. Remember folks old Gary doesn’t like social media, so this is the best, well and only way, to be a part of the “Simple Living” in crowd.

Ok, got a little side tracked now for my speaking schedule for 2019. I recently finalized a book publishing deal with Mother Earth News and coinciding public speaking tour at all the locations for the 2019 Mother Earth News Fairs. In addition, we are working on two half to full day workshops on numerous topics to include, living off the grid, primal health, and simple living. Here is the best part – no two speaking engagements will be the same, as I like to tailor them to what the attendees are interested in. As always, I like to leave a good amount of time at the end for questions. See below for the locations with tentative dates and link to purchase passes (I will update dates as they become available).
