It’s important to strive for what is realistic rather than idealistic. In this spirit, The Simple Life Healthy Lifestyle Plan follows five truth-based, real-world principles designed to keep you on track. These form the practical foundation of The Simple Life concept as a whole, not just regarding health:
- 1 pound, free range, grass fed beef. No antibiotics, No Hormones
- 2 crowns of broccoli
- 1 large Zucchini
- 2 cloves of garlic minced
- 1 tbsp. Turmeric
- 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp. ground pepper
- 1 pinch of salt
- Add fresh Basil if you like
Put the ground beef in a mixing bowl, add turmeric, cayenne pepper, ground pepper, salt and half of the minced garlic. Mix ground beef and seasoning with your hands until fully mixed. In a medium sauté pan, heat coconut oil to medium to high heat, add ground beef. While cooking be sure to chop up the beef while cooking to make smaller bits of beef to eat. Cook ground beef until fully cooked, 10-15 minutes depending on your cooking temperature.
Use coconut oil, heat until liquefied, add the broccoli and toss. Add garlic and toss. Once at medium heat, add a half cup of water to steam the broccoli. Once the water has evaporated, add zucchini and the rest of garlic. Toss for 1 minute.
While the broccoli and zucchini are simmering, drain the beef of all excess oils (or not I like to add the fat to my dishes). I lay paper towels on a plate and pour the beef onto it so that it soaks up the excess oils.
Take the beef, add to the vegetables and toss for another 2 minutes.
Delicious and in only 20 minutes. Enjoy!
