It is hard to believe it has been two years since I released my Amazon Best Selling book Going Off The Grid, and I started my off the grid project nearly six years ago. Currently, I’m working on the accompanying workbook for Going Off The Grid and Living Off The Grid. I think it is a perfect fit for these books, as it takes you from the research and information phase to planning and budgeting your off grid project. Below is the description and what Living Off The Grid is about:
In this article I go over the basic tools I have used and recommend for people either looking to live off the grid or move into the simple living lifestyle. I have provided the links below to all the tools I not only recommend, but I actually own myself, you can rest assured they are verified and tested by yours truly.
Unless you have unlimited resources, plenty of time, and the patience to have others do your work for you, you will probably have to learn a lot of new skills as you construct your off-grid or more remote home.
I know a lot of people have asked for an updated look at the property. I know I have been focused on the main projects the house and the solar shed. I hope this gives you a better idea of what the property looks like. 20 acres is a lot bigger than it sounds so I will try and have some more videos in the future showing other parts of the property.

Here we are again another exciting season with my “Off The Grid” Project. I’m calling this season “Fixing Stupid,” as some of you know I had to fire my contractor after numerous ethical issues and substandard construction.
Unfortunately the pain is just beginning, because of the numerous problems I have to correct before I can move forward with the project. In the end they will get fixed, but it will take more time and money. Funny how you hire a contractor to save time and money, but the opposite is what usually occurs.
